This is a bridge we cross over on the trail to the village of Supai. In 1987 this bridge was just a half log spaning a narrow part in the creek but it did the job for hikers. The natives must have needed some thing that would accomodate pack horses so they decided to improve it. In those days the horses had to ford the creek which varied in depth.
