Slide Rock Park is just a few miles north of Sedona Arizona. It used to be someone's apple farm
then was given to the state. We are just arriving about 9:30am at the parking lot and its still
cool. Mr. Phil Pucinelli is there with the students as they get off the buses.

A short walk fron the parking lot we are at Sliding Rock. It's a place where a small creek flows
over solid rock and over the years has eroded a groove through the rock. Moss has grown on the
rock at the bottom of the groove to let you slide. There is a rest room to the right of the creek.

The coolness kept most adults out of the water at first but it only took the students about 12 minites
after getting there to try sliding. Here Mrs Candy Burns and Mr. Peter Clifford watch as the first
boys try sliding.

Not everyone wants to slide. They may just be drying off after sliding.

Lunch is sandwiches made by the staff and fruit and a drink and chips. Here Mrs. Karla Francis
serves sandwiches to the students.
We left Sliding Rock Park about 11:45am, just in time because clouds started forming as we left
and later it started raining.
