In 1993 we could not use the Havasu campgrounds. Instead we stayed camping at the Grand Canyon National Park. The big hike went down the Bright Angel trail to Plateau Point then back up. It was a 2500 foot drop in elevation. At Havasu campground the drop in elevation is only 1500 feet. In the photo where the trail seems to end is Plateau Point. From there you can see the Colorado River another half mile (in elevation) down. I may be a wimp but I don't ever want to do that again. Use your browser's back button to return.
