The 'Weegleeva',as named by the Havasupai natives, is two stone monoliths at the entrance to the village of Supai. Armando is pointing to it here. The legend says that the Havasupai will continue to live in this valley as long as the Weeleeva is standing. At first I thought this gives the Havasupai many years here. After seeing what happens here through twenty years I have a different idea. When enough time passes that the stone monoliths fall, I think there will no longer be any agrible soil left in this valley. It will become another rocky canyon like most others in the Grand Canyon.
